VAT relief on eligible mobility equipment
Some mobility equipment can be zero-rated for VAT when it is designed or adapted for a person who is chronically sick or disabled, and when the equipment is supplied for that person’s personal use. The rules depend on both the product and your situation, so eligibility is not automatic.
If you think you may qualify, tell us when you get in touch. We will explain what HMRC requires, confirm the price you will actually pay, and ask for a simple written declaration before we supply the equipment. We will only apply the relief where the product and your circumstances meet HMRC’s conditions.
Before you get in touch
We do not currently offer hire, and we would rather say so plainly than list something we cannot provide. If hire is what you need, please tell us anyway — it helps us judge whether there is real local demand for it.
We are based at Unit 6, Cholderton Road in Grateley, but we are a base and workshop rather than a walk-in showroom. Please ring 01264 243124 or send an enquiry before travelling, so someone is free to give you proper attention and so the equipment you want to see is actually here.
Delivery arrangements and costs are confirmed with each order, so please ask us when you enquire. Large items such as stairlifts and risers are installed and set up as part of the work rather than simply dropped off.
We are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and Saturday 9am to 4pm. Stairlift breakdown support is available 24 hours a day through our sister company, P&A Lift Installations — ring 01264 243124 and follow the options.
