Equipment Collection & Removal
Collection, safe removal and responsible disposal of mobility equipment, stairlifts and lifting equipment — including equipment we did not supply.
What it does
Clearing a room, without the worry
When equipment is no longer needed — after a move, a change in circumstances, or sadly after a bereavement — the last thing families want is a mobility scooter stuck in a hallway and no idea who will take it away.
What we collect
Mobility scooters, wheelchairs, powerchairs, walking frames, bath aids, riser recliners and, through P&A Lift Installations, stairlifts and lifting equipment.
Safety first
We will not pass on equipment that is unsafe, worn out or missing the parts that make it work. If something can be reused responsibly, we will say how; if it cannot, it is disposed of properly rather than left outside a charity shop.
Stairlifts and fixed equipment
Stairlift rails and fitted lifting equipment need to be removed from the structure properly, by engineers. That work is carried out by P&A Lift Installations, and we will explain what is involved before anything is touched.
Who it’s suitable for
Anyone who needs equipment removed from a home — after a change in mobility, when downsizing or moving, or when settling an estate. Also landlords and care settings clearing a property.
Who it’s not suitable for
We cannot pass on equipment that does not meet safety requirements, and some items cannot be reused at all. Removal of fitted equipment such as stairlifts depends on the condition of the rail, the staircase and the fixing points, and there may be a charge for collection where significant dismantling is involved. We will always tell you the cost before we come.

Questions we are often asked
Yes. Whether it came from us or from somewhere else, we can collect mobility equipment, and we can remove fitted equipment such as stairlifts through our sister company, P&A Lift Installations.
Not always. Where significant dismantling is involved, there is usually a charge, and we will always give you the cost before we come. Where equipment is in good condition and can be responsibly reused, that is sometimes reflected in the price — ask us when you call.
Anything that can be safely reused we will say so. Anything worn, damaged or unsafe is disposed of properly rather than passed on or left outside a charity shop. We will not rehome equipment that does not meet safety requirements.
Yes, and we will explain what the work involves first. The rail has to be detached from the staircase properly, and depending on the fixings there may be small making-good afterwards. We would rather tell you that upfront than surprise you on the day.
